How to GET Philippines Passport

Now! getting a passport is easier as 123, you can now enjoy the convenience of getting an appointed date, and time online (First time applicant, renewal and lost passport) through the DFA website. Requesting for new passport or passport renewal is now made accessible, all you have to do is provide your personal info online and choose an available date and time convenient for you.Important:
  1. Personal appearance is required for all applicants. 
  2. Confirmed appointment is required for all applicants except senior citizens, infants and minors below 1 year old, person with disability and OFWs. For OFWs, sufficient proof must be submitted such as a valid employment contract or OEC. 
  3. Earrings and contact lenses are not allowed during data capturing. Smiling with visible teeth is also not allowed. 
  4. Check all the data in the computer monitor and in the Enrolment Certificate before signing it. 
  5. Only immediate family members are allowed to get the passport in behalf of the applicant. Immediate family members include father, mother, brother, sister, spouse and children of legal age. 
  6. Passport shall be released to an immediate family member only with proper authorization letter. Passport of a minor applicant shall be released to parents only or to an authorized representative with Special Power of Attorney and Affidavit of Support and Consent. 
  7. Passports unclaimed after six (6) months will be cancelled per Department Order No. 37-03. 
  8. Check all data in the received e-passport upon release. 
  9. Number of processing days may vary depending on the location of the Regional Consular Office where the application was filed. 
  10. The Department may require additional supporting documents as may be necessary, especially for applicants with dual citizenship and with foreignsounding family names to prove citizenship.


Steps and requirements in applying for Philippine Passport:


Prepare your NSO Birth certificate in security paper (SECPA) - you can call NSO hotline at (02) 737-1111 for your Birth Certificate, or you can request to NSO website.



Provide three (3) valid id's (any government ID) - Driver's license SSS ID, BIR ID etc. and other supporting documents indicating your full name, date of birth and your home address.

Make an appointment online through DFA - Download, print and fill up the application form, once you are done don't forget your appointment reference numbers.




















Make two (2) photocopies of each documents in your possession. (NSO birth certificate, Valid ID's, Application form and other supporting documents)

Now that you have your appointment date and time, Be sure that you bring all the requirements with you and make sure to come on time.

Present your appointment form to appointment counter, note that The DFA will not entertain applicants without valid appointments.





















Go to Information Counter to get your queue number and sit down at a given designated place while waiting to process your application.

After processing, you may proceed to the passport enrollment section located at 2nd floor and pay the passport processing fee. (Regular processing fee - Php 950.00 (15 working days) Rush processing Php 1,200.00 (7 days) An additional Php 200 will be charged for processing of lost valid MRRP / MRP or P350.00 for a lost valid e-passport.

Next, proceed to the encoding section for data capturing.
After your photo is captured, personal details and biometrics are encoded, you have the option of:

a) claiming your passport at the DFA consular office where it was applied at; or
b) have it delivered by courier to your home.
If availing of the delivery, proceed to the Delivery Counter to pay for the delivery fee.























Notice:
For passport renewal you will just need to photocopy the front and last page of your passport. (Two copies each. Also, prepare a copy of your NSO birth certificate. Same processing fee applied

Meanwhile, for lost passport, you should execute an affidavit of lost. Prepare photocopies of your lost passport as well and have a copy of your NSO birth certificate and other supporting documents.Same processing fee applied
